Now we would like to draw your attention to the paperwork which you will have to face. Let us take the USA for example (for other countries the process will be practically the same). Your future wife will need K-1 Visa, which is also known as Fiancee Visa. Having this visa, your girlfriend will be allowed to live in the US for a limited time, and within this period the marriage must take place. Usually the K-1 Visa is given for three months only, that is enough for the marriage to happen. Than your wife will get a non-immigrant visa, which will let your wife live in the US and stay with you. Even when you have married, you will have to prove that you really live together as a real family. You will have to submit a Petition for Alien Fiancee, form I-129F, in order for your future wife to get the K-1 visa.
You will be able to invite you partner to your country with this visa in order to marry her then. If she has children, in this case you will have to fill in the petitions for K-3 Visas for them. That will let them get the American citizenship. After the marriage your wife will get K-4 Visa, which will also allow your partner work in the country and have full rights.
Everything we have described is not so difficult as it can seem. There are precise guidelines for each document, and by the way there are some agencies which are ready to help and assist you with all the procedures. There are also attorneys who will help you apply for all visas in a right way. Of course you will pay money for that but it is worth that.
